Sierra El Alamo | Location and Distances to Major Cities

The hunting area at Sierra El Alamo totals 80,000 acres along the Northwest coast of Sonora and lies at an elevation of 3,000 feet, the highest in the state. We are located:

• 100 miles south of the Arizona/Mexico border

• 160 miles south of Tuscon, AZ, or 240 south of Phoenix, AZ

• 30 miles northwest of Caborca, Sonora, or 180 miles northwest of Hermosillo, Sonora

• 100 miles east of Rocky Point, Sonora (one of the fastest growing tourist developments in Mexico)

• The roads to/from these places are paved and generally well-maintained

The Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) is 30 miles due east of the hunting area. There are fishing settlements along the coast there, like Puerto Lobos and El Desemboque.
